Created in 2017 by a South Florida dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon, JACKET is a small-batch sunscreen featuring exclusive premium-grade ingredients and antioxidants that deliver maximum protection, patented anti-aging benefits, and ultimate performance.

As a Florida company, we love living in the sunshine. We also understand the challenges that presents to our skin, such as premature aging and skin cancer. We’re also aware of the many (bad) excuses for not wearing sunscreen — oily, greasy, smelly, sticky, breakouts, etc.

Thomas Balshi has been a dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon in South Florida for more than 20 years, and is all too familiar with the dangerous impact the sun has on our skin. From aesthetic issues associated with premature aging — dark spots and wrinkles — to deadly skin cancers, he has seen it all. In 2017, he decided he had seen enough, and decided to do something about it.

Having grown dissatisfied with the other sunscreen options available at the time, he created his own. As a family man with five children and an endless archive of patients’ horror stories, Dr. Balshi sought to develop a sunscreen that was safe and effective for all ages and skin types, including those with sensitivities, and that not only protected against sun damage but repaired existing damage. JACKET was born.

An avid golfer and outdoors enthusiast himself, Dr. Balshi understands the medical and health demands of sunscreen as well as the desired user functionality and experience relationship. If JACKET didn't work for him, we wouldn't share it with you.
